The time and effort are simple, yet the reward is a wonderfully healthy and sweet side dish.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
You will need
6 medium size sweet potatoes
8 ounces 100% pure maple syrup
2 teaspoons cinnamon (optional)
Prepare 13” x 9” baking dish by lightly buttering the bottoms and sides. Scrub sweet potatoes in water to clean and slice off the tips at the ends. Next, slice each sweet potato into rings about 1/4’ wide. Lay sweet potato rings in the bottom f baking dish. Pour pure maple syrup over the rings. Optional to sprinkle cinnamon on top of the sweet potatoes.
Cover the top of the baking pan with aluminum foil. Place baking pan in oven and bake for 45 minutes (or until desired tenderness).
Remove from oven and serve hot.
